Since childhood, Jolie has carried a song in her heart, humming tunes and singing all of the time.  When Jolie entered the world with her right hand outstretched, 'reaching for the stars,' her mother saw it as a sign of the future. At the early age of 3, that first sign of

talent was discovered and by age ten, her mother enrolled her in private voice lessons.

A graduate of LaGuardia High School of Music & the Arts in NYC, The Hartt School

in CT, Loyola College in MD, and doctoral studies in Vocal Performance at UCONN,

Jolie taught music in the public schools of Hartford, Connecticut for many

years.  In 1998, shebegan singing professionally with regional opera

companies, which eventually lead to performances in the US, Europe

and Australia. Jolie is currently a Visiting Professor of Music at

Texas Southern University in Houston, TX.

"Sharing the gift of song is my destiny - whether it be through
opera, spirituals, gospel, jazz, musical theater or any
other style of music. It's all about sharing a story..."
